-after British Wars > Popular Revolution (1827-9) loses much faith in the missionaries who are now largely German and regards Frederick as having lost mana
-but does depend on them because he recognizes that, now weaker, they are less of a threat
-builds up farm force
-in part slave labor
-sees population explosion

1843-1849: Härre Hohngi

-puts an end to Musket Wars
-because now everyone has them
-now seeks to build an empire
-assembles allied and subjugated tribes to build an empire

-sees move to impose Kunïki authority in Polynesia
-launches expeditions

-forms his own little kingdom
-weird Orientalism reigns
-often used by Hohngi Hicka to give him money and muskets stuff
-but gets enough money that he is allowed to make his pretty little kingdom
-resides in huge castle
-sees a very mixed population
-marries Tangäpuhie woman
-speaks German-Maurri creole

1879-1901: Friedrich de Thierry

-when faced with French Wars > Fifth French War (1892-5) accepts British regiments without a shot
-signs a treaty with them
-successfully adjudicates treaty between British and Kunïkitanga granting it control over all its territory

1901-1934: Johann de Thierry

-faced with land larceny from Australia
